This half-day symposium provides an opportunity for members of the pharmaceutical industry to engage with scientists at the Cavendish Laboratory to discuss the latest developments in medical research. Speakers will cover current areas of research, including the statistical physics of stem cell biology, molecular transport, spectral imaging and computer-aided drug discovery. Members of the pharmaceutical industry are also invited to discuss potential areas for cooperative research, particularly in the physical sciences. Plenty of opportunity for discussion and networking will be provided.
Participants are also encouraged to stay for the University of Cambridge Lennard-Jones Centre event "Advanced Computation for Drug Discovery".
Attendance is free of charge but please register by contacting Daniel Cole (djc56@cam.ac.uk).
