Practical details

In this section we outline a number of details concerning the implementation of the penalty method. These concern the derivatives of the functional with respect to the expansion coefficients for the support functions $\{ c^{n \ell m}_{(\alpha)} \}$, the imposition of the normalisation constraint and the general outline of the scheme.
