About this webpage

Purpose

This webpage has been written by Pablo with the purpose of (in order of importance):

1. having a home page, because it
   • serves as a source of information about one's work
   • provides one's contact info to other people
   • hosts all sorts of random stuff one wants to make publicly available
   • brings one into existance
2. learning some HTML, CSS and Javascript for personal interest
3. storing links in a links section for me to access

Format and compatibility

The format of this webpage does not follow the University of Cambridge webstyle, because it doesn't feel very original and defeats purpose #2 above.

This webpage should not require high resolutions in graphical mode, and can be displayed coherently in text-mode browsers, since the HTMLs are well-structured. Javascript is used for some things if available, but is not required.

I've tried to make these webpages comply with the relevant standards, and also (it turns out it's not the same thing) display correctly on all major web browsers. I've tested Firefox 2.0 and 3.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, Opera 9.27, Safari 3.0, Konqueror 3.5, Lynx 2.8, and Links 1.0, and they all work fine. Firefox, Opera and Safari display these pages quite precisely as intended. Internet Explorer has issues with padding, but does an OK job otherwise.
