Jason

Hi, my name is Jason Alan Daniel Segall

I was born on Thursday 30th July, 1998 at 9.11am when I weighed 6lbs 10oz.

This page contains a selection of pictures and information about me! The contents of this page will be updated as more pictures become available. Click on the small pictures to see a full-size version.

Some of the realy picture have been removed and replaced by links to the full size verions. Hopefully this will make it easier to download this page over slow links.

Here is a picture of me a couple of hours after I was born.

Jason's first picture

Jason alseep on Dad

I didn't sleep much at first, but finally I fell asleep on my Dad when I was two days old (can you tell?!).

And boy, was I cute!

Jason with Mum

This is a picture of me with my Mum, Imogen. It was taken by my Grandma Mary when she visited. I was 8 days old when this was taken!

A growing boy! My main hobby at first was eating, as you can see I've practiced a lot. I also enjoyed crying for food in between meals and spitting small portions of my meals back at unsuspecting adults.

As promised, here's some more up-to-date pictures of me. I was 3 weeks old at the time and I loved to play with my rattles in my moses basket. Look, I've got more hair!

Jason's smile

When I was about 6 weeks old I learned to smile. I think you'll agree that it's quite cute and I know I can use it to get just about anything I want!

Bath time!

Baths are lots of fun. I play in the water and then I get lot's of cuddles to get dry afterwards. I've also found that my hands are really tasty. Unfortunately, I haven't worked out why I choke when I put my fingers down my throat. I'm sure it'll come to me soon...

You know, being a baby is awfully hard work. So you have to remember, no matter where you are, or what you're doing, if you feel tired, take a nap.

Nap time Nap time again Nap time yet again And again
Playing with my rattle

Now that I'm around 3 months old there's lots more I can do with my time. I love to play with my toys, although sometimes my feet are just as fun!

Feet!

Bath time is even more fun now because I'm in the big bath! In the big bath

I especially love playing with the bubbles...

(The sun was a bit too bright for me that day!)

And finally for now, here's a picture of me with my Mummy. This was taken before she had her hair cut! To see what she looks like after you'll have to tune in next time...

A portrait of Mum and me

Sorry to keep you all in suspense for so long... Here's the after picture as promised.

The Segall Family

As you can see, we had some portraits taken by a real photographer. Here's a picture of the whole family.

Sitting on the sofa

Since I last wrote, many things have changed. Sitting up is no longer such a challenge. Sometimes I don't even need support, but it makes me feel a bit more secure!

Of course, the weather is getting colder, so now we have to wrap up warm to go out.

My bunny suit

Now I'm eating solid food. In fact, I'm eating three good solid meals a day! Sometimes it can be a messy business...

On my new play mat

I've got a new play mat and I like to play on my front as much as my back. I can roll over in both directions, although sometimes I feel lazy and can't be bothered to roll back onto my back. Luckily, Mummy or Daddy always come to my rescue.

The other piece of news is that I now have two very sharp little teeth. They came through when I was just over 5 months old. Unfortunately, there aren't any pictures in which you can see them.

Well, that's all for this time. Until the next installment, here's looking at you kid...

Poser...

Since the last time this page was updated I've been on holiday to the USA. I was 7 months old on this trip.

Snowman

First stop was Connecticut to visit my family. As you can see, it was really cold and I got my first taste of snow.

While I was there I met my grandpa Stu for the first time,

Grandpa Stu

and I saw my great-grandma Dinah,

Great Grandma Dinah

gradma Sue,

Grandpa Stu and Grandma Sue

and my uncles Greg (left) and Jeremy (right).

Uncle Greg Uncle Jeremy

We visited my great-uncle Steve, great-aunt Jane and cousins Dan and Kate.

My great-aunt, -uncle and cousins

I also had my first ever bagel, care of my great-grandma Dinah. Yum! (Cool high chair, huh?)

My first bagel

The next stop was Florida, where we stayed with my great-grandparents. Here's a picture of all the family who were there with me. Gerat-grandma Marion, grandma Marsha, great-grandpa Al, great-aunt Barbara, Mum and Dad.

The family in Florida

Cool shades... Yellow hat The weather in Florida was a bit different from that in Connecticut, so I had to wear my sun galsses and hat whenever we went out.

Crawling I loved to crawl around the apartment we were staying in. It had a big open carpeted area and I could get up a lot of speed.

In the pool... Most of all though, I enjoyed playing in the baby pool...

...with grandma ...almost as much as my grandma did!

At the beach Mum and Dad took me to the beach. I played in the sand and, no, I didn't eat it. I loved looking at the waves, but they were much too big, so I couldn't go for a swim.

Playing in the sand Waves
We also saw Beverly and Bill, great-great-aunt Florence and great-great-aunt Frieda, but unfortunately we don't have any picures of them. We had a great time visiting them though!

Walking Things have changed a lot since the last installment. Most importantly I'm now walking! I took my first real steps on the 19th June. For a while I was a bit shaky...

Now I'm running around and enjoying every minute of it. It keeps Mum and Dad on their toes!

Book I also love to read my books at evey opportunity. We have to keep getting more so that Mum and Dad don't get bored of reading the same ones over and over and over... I don't mind though.

On the porch in
Portugal We went to Portugal to visit Grandma Marsha and Grandpa Nick while they were on holiday. It was a wonderful place and we had a great time.

My favourite part of the holiday was playing in the pool.

In the pool In the pool II
The next installment will include pictures of my birthday party, me with more teeth (number 3 arrived last week and 4 is hot on its heals), and pictures from our holiday in Cornwall to see the total eclispe. Bye until then.

Well, sorry for the interuption to this page. For some reason my Dad hasn't been able to help me update the pages. He said something about work, but as far as I can see this work stuff is just an excuse to get out of the house in the morning and not come home until dinner time!

Taken by uncle Greg Also taken by uncle Greg Anyway, these are a couple of pictures taken by my uncle Greg when my family visited from the USA last Thanksgiving.

Checking out the waves In April, we went back to the USA. We visited all of my family in Connecticut and then we went to Florida. I had a great time, and I'm thinking of becoming a beach bum when I grow up.

Fish! While we were in Florida, we went to Seaworld and saw dolphins, sharks, killer whales and came face to face with some really big fish!

But, I spent as much time as I could on the beach. Here I am enjoying a snack with my Mum and my Grandma Marsha.

Lazing on the beach Look, a raisin!

Well, that's all for now. I'll keep bugging Dad to keep this page more up-to-date. Next installement, my 2nd birthday and another trip to Portugal. It's a tough life, but someone's gotta do it!
