Welcome to the homepage of Carl Modes.
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Rockefeller University working with Marcelo Magnasco on a number of problems involving the interplay of geometry, topology, and physics in biological networks, such as venation in leaves.
Previously, I have worked with Mark Warner at the University of Cambridge and was a student
with Randy Kamien at the University of Pennsylvania.
