About me:

I'm a postgraduate student at the Theory of Condensed Matter group at the Cavendish Laboratory here in Cambridge, working under Gabor Csanyi (www.csanyi.net).

I did my first degree in London, where home is, before working as a programmer going onto business analysis and project management (but still keeping the programming job because it was fun, even though it resulted in way too much work for one person!).
I managed to make space to come back to Physics, and am having the time of my life.

Research Interests:

Everything to do with Physics.

Other Interests:

Technologies:

Delphi, C++, SQL (Sybase/MS), PHP. Perl, Java and C# in a pinch.

  • XMing Windows server It's a free X Windows server for Windows. It works, it's lightweight, and if you figure out to ditch the XMing server and use XLaunch with Putty to connect, then it works like a dream. I'm on a Mac, Linux and Windows system, this with VNC makes my day *so* much easier.

  • Wikipedia Hours of fun - as long as it's not in an area you know anything about. The treatment of physics currently held there is such a big turnoff to people who might otherwise enjoy and get a lot out of it.
